Everything was good, this hotel had new-fashioned rooms and its breakfast was marvellous. Booked a room with EXCEPTIONAL views of the bay. The location was amazing, at a short distance from Chavonnes Battery Museum.

Good food, efficient service and great view of the bay. Nice location to V&a Waterfront Shopping Mall. Based right by the city centre, the stunning mountains and hills, the lovely restaurant with the best staff's ratings, and Cape Town- authentic.

I had an amazing stay at this charming guesthouse in a historic building. The room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. The front garden and rooftop terrace were perfect spots for enjoying the delicious breakfast and lunch options. The location was ideal, with beautiful old houses, cafes, and restaurants nearby. Despite the lack of air conditioning, the provided fan kept me cool during the hot nights. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I didn't need a car because everything was within walking distance, and Uber was always readily available. The Wi-Fi was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was great. I would highly recommend this place to friends and would definitely stay here again in the future.

While the bathroom was lacking a door, it didn't greatly impact my stay. I had no major complaints and thoroughly enjoyed my time at this guesthouse.

the hotel was in a magnificent and amazing location, in the event that i arrived feeling sereverly ill. besides, it was close to the famous manhattan restaurant and the city centre, the stunning mountains and hills.

Had great stay during a Cape Town visit with good staff and incredible location to provide cutlery in the rooms for takeaways. Location: the hotel was just next door to the waterfront, the famous Manhattan restaurant and bar, shopping area and Long Street and South Africa.

During my New Year's stay, I appreciated the cozy fireplace and the exceptionally fast Wi-Fi. the hotel's central location near popular restaurants and shopping areas was advantageous.

There were multiple disappointing aspects of my stay that made me certain I won't return. The hotel's staff was unprepared and unprofessional, which caused frustration during the check-in process.

The Charles was a charming guesthouse right in the town's Waterkant section. We loved the views from the rooftop decks and the room was unique. Kenny was especially helpful.

We didn't have a phone, radio, or clock in the room but were able to use our cell phone as an alarm. We also could not get more than 2 stations on the TV. These were minor issues.

room service was non-existant. for that sort of money you expect staff to come in each day, tidy up the room, change towels where necessary and refill the coffee and tea sachets. they didn't do it. we went at world cup so you would expect a price-hike but even so the price was a bit too much relative to other places

The setup is unique and interesting. It is good value for the price paid.

No table, no phone, and no heat in the room. Lack of heating could be a problem if it gets colder that it was during my stay. Also, Internet access was intermittent, and my room was not covered by the free WiFi signal.

Perfect for our honeymoon! Fantastic location in a safe neighborhood with great security. Close to everything and the room was spotlessly clean. Loved the inn style and continental cafe ambiance. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money with delicious food options and beautiful views from the upper decks. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!
